Three Predators Prospects Score First Professional Goals This Week
USA TODAY Sports

Nashville Predators prospects are taking the ice for a variety of organizations and leagues this season. This week three playing with Nashville's affiliate AHL and ECHL teams recorded their first goals of their professional careers.

Zachary L'Heureux made his AHL debut on October 14 against the Chicago Wolves in a 2-1 win and scored his first professional goal on October 24 against the Toronto Marlies. L'Heureux scored at 19:24 of the second period with a backhand shot in Milwaukee's 3-2 loss to the Marlies. L'Heureux scored again with an empty net goal in the following night's game against the Bellevue Senators on the road.

In the October 25 Senators game, Nashville's 2021 first round pick Fedor Svechkov scored his first professional North American goal. Svechkov scored from the circle on a pass from Denis Gurianov. Svechkov had previously recorded two assists in the opening game of the season for the Admirals.

Jack Matier, a 2021 fourth round Predators' pick, also scored his first professional goal for the ECHL's Atlanta Gladiators in the team's opening game on October 21. The defenseman also recorded an assist in that game against the Savannah Ghost Pirates.

Matier is joined by Predators' draftees Luke Prokop and Nolan Burke who are also playing with the Gladiators this season. Their next game is Saturday, October 28 at 7:10 pm CT.

The Milwaukee Admirals are back on the ice Saturday as well as they take on the Iowa Wild at home at 6:00 pm CT.
