The New York Giants have competition for the QB1 job

The Giants have had an interesting offseason with their quarterback’s room. They added former Denver Broncos starting quarterback Drew Lock to compete with Daniel Jones for the QB1 job this fall. The Giants were expected to look at taking a quarterback with their No. 6 pick in the draft. However, the Giants chose to select wide receiver Malik Nabers with the pick instead.

Nathan Rourke Joins the Giants

According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Giants claimed Rourke off waivers from the Patriots. The former CFL “star” was released by the Patriots on Monday. He’ll join Jones, Lock, and Tommy DeVito in the Giants quarterback room this offseason.

Rourke earned the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian award for the 2022 season. He was 307 passing for 406 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions in the CFL. He has no NFL stats.
