NFL Free agency is off to a frenzy. While your Los Angeles Chargers have made impactful singing, they have also missed out on a handful of key players.
They missed out on offensive guard Michael Onwenu. Onwenu has signed back with the New England Patriots. He signed a three-year, $57 million contract, including a $38 million guaranteed.

The Chargers missed out on the former Michigan Wolverine. It would have been the perfect opportunity for a reunion between Onwenu and head coach Jim Harbaugh. Instead, the Bolts will look for a guard, whether that's via free agency or the draft.
Harbaugh coached Onwenu from 2016 to 2019. In his junior and senior years, he was named third-team All-Big Ten. He was a sixth-round selection in the 2020 NFL draft.
In 2023, he played in 850 offensive snaps, committed four penalties, allowed three sacks, and had a PFF grade of 71.5, with a run blocking grade of 72.2.
