It's a beautiful Saturday in MLB for a whole lot of dingers. Here are my three favorite home run bets for the slate.
It's hard to find a better matchup for a home run prop than this one. In 20 career at-bats against Alex Wood, Mookie Betts is hitting .450 and slugging 1.050 with three home runs. Betts has slugged the eighth-most homers in the league this season (17), and the wind will be blowing strongly out to center throughout the game. Yes, please.
Cody Bellinger hasn't faced Kyle Gibson often, but when he does, he has success. In seven career at-bats against the Baltimore Orioles starter, Bellinger has two hits. Both of them are home runs. The wind will be blowing in at Wrigley Field Saturday, but Bellinger still has the power to poke one over the right-field wall.
Starling Marte has hit only three home runs this season. He's hit one in his last 21 games played, but this is a great spot for him to break the power drought. In 58 career at-bats against Adam Wainwright, Marte has a double, two triples, and two homers. I'll take a shot on the +630 here.
